Community Commitment
Every Brookfarm product is produced and manufactured locally in our own factory.
By creating real job opportunities we assist in the building of a viable,local food manufacturing industry in Regional Australia. We try and use as much fresh local produce unique to this area - we will only use an imported ingredient if no Australian product of high quality is available.
Giving back to the community is very important to us. We support breakfast programs in regional New South Wales, Soup Kitchens and Food Banks to help provide balanced and healthy nutrition to those most in need.
Other initiatives include support for the Friends of the Koala Rescue centre, Local Landcare Groups, Coeliac Awareness and a local drug rehabilitation centre.
In November 2008 we joined with Rainforest Rescue in assisting their work in buying back and preserving the Daintree Rainforest in North Queensland. Part of the profits from every packet sold of our new Walkabout Mix is donated to Rainforest Rescue.
In the USA Brookfarm supports the UCLA Aids Institute CARE Centre.
