Our Seachange
We started our farm in 1989 when we were still living and working
in Melbourne. We bought a run down ex-dairy farm and gradually transformed
it into a productive macadamia farm of 4500 trees, with the steeper
slopes and gullies planted out with rainforest and native trees.
We made the move to St. Helena in January 1999,
when the macadamias were finally at the stage of having a reasonable
crop. We wanted to produce gourmet macadamia product lines, not
just the roasted /toasted or chocolate- coated varieties. It took
another two years of work on product development, packaging, shelf
life testing and research - finally our dream became a reality.
