At last we’ve moved into our beautiful new purpose designed factory on the Byron Bay Industrial estate. The building was designed by architect James Grose to minimise our environmental footprint and give us plenty of space for growth. Extensive overhangs protect the windowed office area from direct sun and maximum use of natural light enables us to live & work in the subtropics without the need for daily use of office air conditioning and artificial lighting. Solar panels reduce our energy needs and underground rainwater tanks supply garden irrigation for the rainforest plantings. The manufacturing area is a cool room made of insulation treble the standard requirements and is a separate building beneath an insulated steel and concrete superstructure. The manufacturing area layout is an ideal working environment for our production team with natural light and purpose designed production spaces. The internal temperature of working areas is able to be maintained at 22C temperature year round with only occasional use of air conditioning.
